Year 9

Social Studies is about how societies work and how you can participate in your community as an active and responsible citizen.

 

In Social Studies you will look at social issues that relate to identity, culture, and organisation, and learn to take positive action.

 

You will investigate how individuals, communities, and societies respond to change.

 

Through the process of Social inquiry you will have the opportunity to:

  • Ask questions, find and communicate information

  • Investigate different viewpoints and values

  • Identify solutions and make decisions about social action.
