Description
During the course you will:
Investigate real life data and write a report on your findings under the Statistics strand, eg., comparing family size and length of life throughout the world
Investigate relevant situations and consider and evaluate a range of possible solutions in Number for example, investigate financing a school dance
Investigate the relationships between variables in real world contexts e.g. number of tables and number of diners you can seat in a restaurant.
The emphasis is on applying your skills, communicating your findings and evaluating all possible options
(You will be placed in either this course or Mathematics with Probability)

Description

Use measurement techniques to investigate real world problems e.g. find the cost of landscaping a garden
Apply probability methods to investigate the likelihood of events happening e.g. winning at snakes and ladders.
Investigate relevant situations and consider and evaluate a range of possible solutions in Number, for example, investigate financing a school dance
The emphasis is on applying your skills, communicating your findings and evaluating all possible options
(You will be placed in either this course or Mathematics with Graphs)
