  • Snorkelling (Dive Otago) - pool and ocean

  • Rock Climbing & Abseiling 

  • Comprehensive Workplace First Aid 

  • Overnight tramp (2 day camp)

  • Waka

  • Haerenga/Journey Ōtepoti (3 day camp)


Whakawhanaungatanga and Kaitiakitanga weaved throughout all units of work

PHYSICAL EDUCATION WITH HEALTH

Physical Education standards:


  • Practical performance (class choice of two different contexts)

  • Learn the science of human movement (contexts to be decided by students)

  • Understand how we can train to improve our performance

  • Understanding risk in the outdoors - 3 day camp Moke Lake Queenstown

  • Develop leadership skills through coaching at a local primary school


Health standards (one will be selected by the class):


  • Take action to improve wellbeing within school or community

  • Analyse issues related to sexuality and gender

Prerequisites

Level 1 Physical Education and/or Level 1 Physical Education and Health preferred

Assessment
