Description
This course includes a week at Borland Camp in Fiordland where we study ecology and do some out-door education
During the study of cells we carry out practical work, develop our microscope skills and look at how cells carry out essential life processes like respiration
We look at how genes are inherited and then expressed and compare this to the occurrence of various mutations
Investigate how the genetics of populations change through time
Develop the understanding that allows us to evaluate possible future directions of human biology that may affect us, such as growing body parts in laboratory to replace faulty parts

Any 12 Credits in Year 11 Science including AS90948
