ENGLISH

Description

We've saved the best for your last year!

13 English has been designed to capitalise on the incredible English skills you have developed in the past four years and give you the chance to explore exciting and challenging new ideas. You'll examine the past, present and possible futures through text studies, explore critical theories and create works of your own to enhance your communication skills.

Your teachers are focussed on getting the best from you and will support you to reach your potential. As Year 13s, you'll be given some flexibility to choose the topics you want to be assessed on, so you can make decisions about what's best for your future direction.

What you'll be learning:

  • Exploring different forms: We'll be studying films, plays, poetry, short stories, and novels.

  • Sharing your perspective: You'll get to create a variety of texts that let you share your take on the world.

  • New ways of looking at things: We'll examine texts through critical lenses, helping you uncover deeper meanings.

  • Grow and be challenged: Expect to be inspired, empowered, and challenged by the work you do.
